Sex And Gender Education

(SAGE)

Australia

Projects SAGE is Involved With

Amnesty International Australia have requested that SAGE partake in discussions in formulating policy and a knowledge base for their organisation about sex and gender diversity. Since SAGE members are made up from transgender, transsexual, androgyne and intersex people, then SAGE is happy to help guide Amnesty International to understanding the extremely diverse identities that occur naturally and socially within society. Representatives of SAGE attended around the table talks with Amnesty in Sydney in December 2001 as a precursor to an open debate held during the Gay Games in November 2002. SAGE continues to work with Amnesty regarding the rights of sex and gender diverse people.
