  • SAGE's primary aim is the advancement of human rights for those people who do not fit the standard sex or gender stereotypes.

  • SAGE will work for the advancement of human rights for all sex or gender diverse people.

  • SAGE will campaign for national anti-discrimination legislation to protect all Australian people against unfair discrimination based on their actual or attributed sex or gender.

  • SAGE will seek that government at all levels implement policies that include the use of a person's preferred title and pronouns, for people in the community and workplace, and that is reflected on that person's personnel records.

  • SAGE affirms the right of every individual to choose their own sex identity and gender identity, regardless of medical reductionism.

  • SAGE is committed to the promotion of education on sex and gender identity issues to the Australian community, employers, educational institutions and all government departments.

  • SAGE is committed to changes of legal documentation (eg. birth certification) based on bona fide self-identification.

  • SAGE supports the right of sex or gender diverse people to enjoy the same access to marriage and legal partnership rights as other Australians.

  • SAGE is to remain at all times politically non-partisan.
